Common Mistakes

Confusing with に至るまで (ranging up to): に至るまで means "right up to the point of / even as far as ~" and emphasises a surprising range or extent (細部に至るまで注意を払う = pay attention right down to the smallest details). に至って marks a critical temporal juncture, not a range.
Omitting the "too late" or "now finally" nuance: に至って often carries the implication that the recognition or action comes at the critical or even too-late moment. Using it for routine arriving-at-a-conclusion contexts sounds unnatural.
Confusing に至っては with に至って: に至っては singles out an extreme worst-case within a comparison (often with ましては or さえも earlier). に至って describes reaching a critical juncture. Do not use them interchangeably.
