越来越 is placed before an adjective or verb to describe something that is continuously increasing in degree. It always refers to a process unfolding over time, not a static comparison.

Structure

Subject + 越来越 + Adjective/Verb (+ 了)

了 at the end often marks the change as already noticeable.
