Collocation Meaning

模糊不清 (móhu bù qīng) blurry and unclear

Usage Notes

模糊 can describe both physical blurriness (like an out-of-focus photo) and abstract vagueness (like an unclear explanation or policy). Its opposite is 清晰 (qīngxī), meaning "clear" or "sharp." At B1 level, both uses are important for describing quality of images, memory, and communication.

Memory Hook

模 (model/pattern) + 糊 (paste/blur) — when the pattern gets pasted over, everything becomes blurry and unrecognizable.
