Usage Notes

客观 is the opposite of 主观 (subjective). At B1 level, it often appears in academic, journalistic, and business writing. It can modify nouns (客观分析) or serve as a predicate adjective (很客观). The adverb form 客观地 is common before verbs.

Memory Hook

客 means "guest" (an outsider) and 观 means "to observe." An outside observer has no personal stake, so they see things objectively. A guest watching from outside is perfectly objective.
